Call for Abstracts
G-CON London 2026 is the new high-profile Conference from the Geoscience Energy Society of Great Britain (GESGB). Designed to replace the annual PETEX, G-CON London brings together the brightest minds in academia, the most innovative thinkers in industry, and the next generation of geoscientists.
Abstracts are a key component of G-CON London 2026, offering researchers, early-career professionals and experienced geoscientists the opportunity to showcase their work.
We welcome submissions that address the key themes of the conference:
- Hydrocarbons Exploration & Development:
- Global ‘hotspots’ including exploration, new discoveries and developments.
- New plays in old basins: drilling deeper, shallow gas, subtle traps, tight and unconventional reservoirs.
- Extending life in mature fields, new life in existing giants, near field exploitation, bypassed pay.
- New Energies and the subsurface:
- Geoscientific, drilling and heat extraction technologies.
- Natural hydrogen exploration and development.
- Helium exploration and development.
- New Technology within the energy industry:
- Exploration and Development technological advances.
- Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
